It is amazing to think that 2024 is among us. It is even more amazing to think that it will have been 4 years since the workforce was rocked by Covid, forcing the era of “working from home.” 2023 has shown just how resilient the workforce is and has finally brought a sense of normalcy back into the regular workweek. Businesses were able to not only focus on meeting goals but finally able to exceed them and plan for an even brighter 2024.  

Here at Etek, the same theme resonates. 2023 brought us opportunities that we never would have imagined accompanied with correlating challenges. We secured 11 new clients and increased revenue by 4%. We also invested a lot of time in the relationships we have with our partners which led us to onboard 5 new partners. Last year we also hired and trained our part-time operations manager, Michelle. Speaking of new members, Eva welcomed her first baby girl Marieke. Welcome to the girl gang baby MJ! A few more victories for the Etek team include (but are not limited to): 

  • Kristin was selected as a recipient of City and State’s 40 Under 40 
  • Eva spoke and presented at her Alma Mater, Rutgers University 
  • Etek traveled to Alabama to meet with prospective clients and network  
  • Kristin interviewed Norman Vossschult from the Philadelphia Eagles  
  • Etek was featured in the Philadelphia Inquirer’s small business column 
  • Eva and Kristin were selected to be board members of the Women’s Energy Network, Philadelphia Chapter  

And our greatest accomplishment…drum roll, please… 

Starting the legislative process of passing Bill A5693 into law in NJ!  

“This bill would encourage emerging disadvantaged energy companies looking to grow their businesses here in New Jersey to provide jobs and more affordability. This is a great way for New Jersey to demonstrate its commitment to community engagement and social responsibility and sets a precedent for other industries to follow.” 

We are looking forward to seeing this legislative process through and are hoping to make a lasting impact in the energy industry. “Be the change that you wish to see in this world”.
