“The only limit to the height of your achievements is the reach of your dreams and your willingness to work for them.” – Michelle Obama

It is hard to believe that 2024 is already in the rearview mirror. Every year we take this time to reflect on the previous year’s accomplishments, lessons, and themes – no matter how big or small, pretty, or ugly. It is a time to face reality, dig into the numbers, and dive into the progress (or regress) of the goals we had set out to accomplish.

Here at Etek, 2024 looked something like a bright neon sign that reads “Welcome to the Next Chapter!” We celebrated our 6th year in business which brought on a sense of nostalgia as we asked ourselves – how did we get here? Every year in business acts as a milestone of accomplishment and lessons. We learned how to navigate our first years by trusting that a consistent work ethic would keep us from drowning. Our later years were marked by learning from mistakes and staying true to our vision – even if our vision changed. Coming into year 7, we are no longer plagued by the thoughts of uncertainty or impending mistakes, but rather to letting go. We realized that letting go to relationships that do not serve us, ideas that needed to be abandoned, and goals that we no longer find important – we are choosing to advocate for ourselves. No one will have your best interest at heart more than you. Sometimes our visions change and our definitions of success evolve over time and that’s okay.

2024 brought Etek their biggest year in sales by far; closing over a half a million in sales. We also navigated a big move: Eva opened the New England market by moving to Rhode Island, all while experiencing her first year in motherhood. We are looking forward to all the New England market has to offer and are excited for the challenge! A few other accomplishments our team had this year:

  • Both Kristin and Eva served on the Women’s Energy Network Board
  • Eva presented at Rutgers to the Careers in Environmental Policy, Institutions, and Behavior (EPIB) class for the second year in a row
  • Spearheaded our first material supply project for the city of Philadelphia
  • Kristin was nominated for Philadelphia’s Titan 100
  • Continued work on Bill A5693
  • Last but not least…drum roll please…We finally got professional pictures taken!

We have accomplished more in 6 years than we ever dreamed was possible…and we are only getting started.
